Hi, I'm Rebecca
I'm a Registered Veterinary Technician with over 15 years of laboratory experience. I'm passionate about making accurate, professional-grade DNA testing accessible to bird keepers across Canada and beyond — without the long waits, confusing results, or high costs that have been the norm for too long.
I'm also a flock owner myself, so I understand firsthand why knowing your birds matters — whether you're managing a breeding program, planning your next hatch, or simply curious about the animals in your care.
Every test is handled personally by me, with the same dedication and professionalism I've applied throughout my veterinary career. I'm genuinely excited to offer this service and to help you know your flock better. If you have any questions about the process or your results, I'm just an email away!

Common Questions
Can you test species other than chickens?
Our sex testing assay is validated for a broad range of avian species including parrots, finches, doves, and most poultry. The egg colour and recessive white tests are chicken-specific. If you are unsure whether your species is covered, contact us before ordering.
What if my result is inconclusive?
Inconclusive results are rare. If we cannot call a result with confidence — for example due to insufficient DNA or a degraded sample — we will contact you and arrange a free retest from a fresh sample. You will never be charged for a result we cannot deliver.
How do I know my samples won't get mixed up?
Each sample bag must be individually labelled with your bird's name before mailing. On receipt, we log each sample against your order in our system before any lab work begins. Controls are run on every gel to confirm the integrity of each batch.
Is my data kept private?
Yes. Your results are stored securely and are only accessible through your password-protected account. We do not share individual results with third parties. Anonymised, aggregated data may be used internally to validate and improve our assays.
Do you offer bulk pricing for breeders or hatcheries?
Yes — for every 10 tests of the same type purchased in a single order, you receive one free bonus credit of that test type. The bonus is applied automatically at checkout, so there is nothing extra to do. For example, ordering 10 sex tests gives you 11 credits; ordering 20 gives you 22. This applies to each test type independently within the same order.
